The castle, filled with rich history and charm, provided an unforgettable experience. Exploring the surrounding areas on our bikes was a blast, and we discovered hidden gems at every turn. The hosts were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. It was such a unique and awe-inspiring vacation.
If you're a young party-goer looking for wild nightlife, this might not be the place for you. While the castle offered a tranquil and relaxing atmosphere, we wished there were more vibrant activities catered to young people in the area.

We got incredible value for our money at Chateau De Basche. The room was marvelous, huge, and beautifully restored, taking us back in time. The location was excellent, close to Chinon and its vineyards. The staff, especially our host Séraphine, were warm, welcoming, and treated us like family.
The breakfast menu could have been more varied.

I can't even put into words how mind-blowing our stay at this beautiful 16th century castle was. The history, the charm, the warm welcome from the owners - everything was super! Our room was absolutely jaw-dropping, with original features and stunning views. The owners were incredibly friendly, allowing us to explore the property and see the renovations in progress. And let's not forget the amazing pool for those hot days! Wi-fi, outdoor dining, and cots were also available. A truly unforgettable experience!

The double room at Château de Basché had a charming and cozy feel, with a private entrance that made it feel like a true hideaway. I absolutely loved the fireplace in the room, adding a touch of warmth and romance to the overall ambiance.- The seating area was a nice addition, providing a comfortable spot to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring.- Plus, the free WiFi was a great perk, making it easy to stay connected during my stay.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the air conditioning in some units. But hey, I can see how others might appreciate it in hotter weather.

I recently stayed at Chateau De Basche for a few nights and it was an incredible experience. The owners, Séraphine and her family, were warm and attentive, making us feel right at home. The chateau itself is a true gem, with original features and furnishings that transport you back in time. Our room was large and beautifully restored, offering stunning views of the surrounding grounds, including an ancient tree and a consecrated chapel. The location is perfect, close to Chinon and its vineyards, as well as the impressive Chateau D'Assay. If you're looking for a unique stay steeped in history, I highly recommend this hotel.
